The journey continues to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often described as Africa’s Garden of Eden, offering an unmatched concentration of animals in a spectacular volcanic setting. Finally, your safari concludes with a cultural immersion in a Maasai village, where you will experience the traditions of one of East Africa’s most iconic tribes before returning to Arusha.

Your safari begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, where the golden savannah is dotted with ancient baobabs and alive with wildlife. Tarangire is renowned for its huge elephant populations and as a haven for diverse species including lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and an impressive variety of birdlife. Enjoy a game drive through this rich ecosystem, followed by dinner and overnight at your lodge in Karatu.

Today is devoted entirely to exploring the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Witness the dynamic cycle of life unfold before your eyes: predators on the hunt, wildebeest and zebras grazing in the plains, and elephants and giraffes wandering across the savannah. Depending on the season, you may also experience the drama of the Great Migration, one of the most spectacular wildlife events on earth. A picnic lunch will keep you close to the action throughout the day.

After an early breakfast, depart the Serengeti and make your way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the crater for an extensive game drive in one of Africa’s most unique safari settings. The crater floor hosts an abundance of wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. With its permanent water sources, the crater ensures rewarding game viewing year-round. Later in the afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
