Itinerary

Your adventure begins early in the morning as you depart Dar es Salaam. You may choose to fly (45 minutes) or enjoy a scenic 5–6 hour drive through rural villages and landscapes that lead to Nyerere National Park.
Upon arrival, check in at Selous Impala Camp (or a similar luxury riverside lodge) where a warm welcome and a refreshing drink await you.

After lunch, head out for a sunset boat safari on the Rufiji River, watching hippos yawn, crocodiles glide silently, and elephants drink along the riverbanks. As the sun dips low, return to camp for dinner by candlelight, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the African night.

Rise early for a hearty breakfast before setting off on a full-day game drive across the vast plains of Nyerere National Park. This is a land of true wilderness, where lion prides, herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and wild dogs roam freely.

Your professional safari guide will navigate through diverse habitats — open savannah, woodlands, and riverine forests — sharing fascinating insights about the park’s ecosystem. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild, listening to the distant calls of birds and animals.

Return to camp in the late afternoon to relax by the pool or your private deck, followed by a gourmet dinner under the stars.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Selous Impala Camp

Begin your day with an early morning game drive, the best time to witness the wilderness come alive. As the sun rises over the acacia-dotted plains, animals are most active — lions returning from a night hunt, elephants heading to the river, and graceful giraffes feeding on treetops. Enjoy coffee and light snacks in the bush before returning to camp for a late breakfast.

Spend the afternoon at leisure, relaxing by the pool or watching wildlife from your private veranda. Later, head out for a sunset boat cruise on the Rufiji River. Glide along calm waters as hippos grunt nearby and crocodiles bask on the riverbanks. The golden light paints the landscape, creating perfect photo moments before returning to camp for a delicious dinner under the stars.

After an early breakfast, head out for one last morning game drive to catch the wildlife at its most active. Watch predators on the hunt or elephants crossing the open plains before the day heats up.

Return to camp for a farewell brunch, then transfer to the airstrip or vehicle for your journey back to Dar es Salaam, carrying memories of an unforgettable safari experience.
