Day 01 :

Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Your safari adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar. You’ll be driven to Zanzibar Airport for a scheduled flight to Arusha, where your Tanzania Adaptive Safaris guide will meet you upon arrival.

From Arusha, you’ll head straight to Tarangire National Park, known for its vast savannahs dotted with iconic baobab trees and for hosting Tanzania’s largest elephant populations. Alongside elephants, Tarangire is home to zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, lions, leopards, and over 500 bird species. You’ll enjoy an extensive game drive with a picnic lunch in the park, soaking in the rich wildlife encounters.

In the late afternoon, continue your journey to Karatu, where you’ll check in at Kankari Lodge. Enjoy a hearty dinner and relax in the cool highland air.

Day 02 :

Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, set off for the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater floor, a haven for around 30,000 animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and the rare black rhino. The crater’s soda lake also attracts thousands of flamingos and other birdlife, making for an unforgettable safari experience.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending the steep walls and beginning your drive back to Arusha. You’ll be dropped at Arusha Airport for your evening flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, a transfer will be waiting to return you to your hotel, marking the end of your incredible safari.
