Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Meet your safari guide for a briefing on your safari adventure. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring Arusha or relaxing at your hotel.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive in the park, where you may also spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Central Serengeti

After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti National Park, stopping at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a short game drive. Continue to the Serengeti, where you’ll spend the next few days exploring the vast plains in search of the Great Migration. Arrive at your lodge or camp in the central Serengeti in time for dinner.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti

Today, head north towards the Mara River, the main crossing point for the Great Migration. Witness the dramatic river crossings as thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores brave the crocodile-infested waters. Enjoy game drives in the northern Serengeti, famous for its resident big cats. Overnight at your lodge or camp in the area.

Day 5: Central Serengeti

Return to the central Serengeti, where you’ll continue tracking the Great Migration. Explore the vast plains and witness the wildebeest herds as they move in search of fresh grazing lands. Look out for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater for a full-day game drive, where you’ll have the chance to see a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, rhinos, lions, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending back to the rim. Overnight at your lodge or camp near the crater.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse birdlife and tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive in the park, where you may also see elephants, giraffes, baboons, and flamingos. In the afternoon, drive to your lodge or camp near the park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Kilimanjaro Airport

After breakfast, depart for Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. End of safari.
